The idea of Al-Jumeirah restaurant was inspired by two ideas, one historical and the other contemporary.
The name Jumeirah represents the Pinnacle of contemporary vision with a flavour of the East, an area well known world over as the name of Burj Al-Arab Hotel in Dubai where east meets west, the most cosmopoliton city in the world, a dreamland of all that is nice.
The other Inspiration was that of the Journey of Ibn Battuta (February 25, 1304 – 1368 or 1369), was a Moroccan explorer of Berber descent. He is known for his extensive travels, accounts of which were published in the Rihla (lit. “Journey”). Over a period of thirty years, Ibn Battuta visited most of the known Islamic world as well as many non-Muslim lands. His journeys included trips to North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa and Eastern Europe in the West, and to the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and China. Ibn Battuta is considered to be among the great travellers of all time.
We want to bring together a fusion of foods both contemporary and classical from all over the travelled world of Ibn Battuta under one roof.
We hope you enjoy

Where shall I start. Google searched Moroccan restaurant as fancied it and am so glad I did. Read the reviews on here and one review is bad but overall great so gave it a go. Although it took a while for the food to arrive, we were prepared for this as they had advised us of the wait. However, they looked after us during the wait, bringing mint teas and a really nice soup. It was worth the wait for the food, the flavours were fantastic. It took a while to choose what to have as there were lots of delicious sounding options - not something I can say about most places I go to. They were also quite unusual - some things I have not seen in any other restaurant. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Oh My Word - Amazing
Walked into a lovely decorated restaurant - staff amazingly hospitable. It was quiet, I thought why. So I waited for the food. Food is freshly prepared. It was sooooooooo Good.
Restaurant is in two parts, buffet and menu. We ordered from menu - we ordered the Moroccan food as you can get curry's etc all over Manchester.
Go, it is worth every penny - prices are good for the amount of food you get.

Brilliant Moroccan/ Pakistani food
I am always a little apprehensive about trying new restaurants. But this experience was refreshingly different. For me the little things count and from start to finish the staff ensured our experience would be enjoyable and memorable. We were greeted well and offered complementary: Moroccan tea, dates and humous with a selection of sides to go with it as soon as we sat down. This I was very impressed with. The rest of the food was freshly cooked and extremely tasty. Even more impressive was the Moroccan twist the Pakistani dishes had. Staff were very polite, not intrusive and helped to create a brilliant atmosphere from pouring Moroccan tea and at the end, making the wet hand towels expand from the size of a 5p coin (I know this sounds odd but you have to see it to believe the magic trick). Finally, I have to say, one thing I always check in restaurants is the state of the toilets and I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of these; it even had a dyson hand dryer and a nappy changing table in there. Overall I definitely believe this restaurant deserves 5 stars for the excellent service and food.Azaman14

Fantastic Asian / Moroccan restaurant in Manchester
Visited mid week with a group of friends. Absolutely amazing service from start to finish with lovely, friendly and attentive staff. Food was all delicious - well presented and huge portions, (even had quite a lot of food leftover to take home). Amazing value for money. Will definately be recommending this place to friends and look forward to returning again. I think this has to be the best restaurant I have ever visited in terms of customer service and professionalism. I wish them every success.3girls024
